Were's Kaisar snaps winless run

After a month of searching, Kazakhstani top tier side Kaisar finally found their winning touch after knocking out host Irtysh 1-0 in a round 30 league clash held at Ortal Stadium on Sunday 21 October.

Aleksandr Marochkin rose highest in the 20th minute to flick home the decider off a curled  corner. 

Kenyan flyer Paul Were started off the bench in this one Tobe introduced in the 68th minute in place of Mathias Coureur.  

Prior to this game, speedy Were had been factored into play by Kaisar in 20 of 29 league games this term in his debut season. 

The Sunday win coupled with other weekend results keeps Kaisar at seventh spot in the 12-team log with 36 points seven off their victims Irtysh who are at relegation spot eleven. 

Kaisar last tasted a win on 22 September after taking down Shakter Kargandy 2-1. In between then and now the team only managed a point in three games after a 2-2 draw with Atyrau that came in the back of straight loses to Kairat and Kyzyl-Zhar.

Next up for Kaisar in the league is an away game to tenth placed Akzhayik.
